Núcleo de Estudos Irlandeses (NEI) is a research cluster operating at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC) since 2016. We dedicate our efforts to educational, artistic, cultural, and intellectual production activities relating to Irish Studies.
Our studies and productions are multi- and transdisciplinary in nature and allow us to approach other fields of knowledge and artistic production, including the humanities —history, social sciences, philosophy, among others — and the arts — theatre, radio drama, cinema, music, among others.
One of the challenges of NEI is to endorse interdisciplinary teaching and research that promote, in addition to the textual approach, the integration of literature with other areas and methodologies of the humanities.
