Kaio Moreira Veloso is a PhD candidate in English: Linguistic and Literary Studies at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (UFSC). He also holds a Master’s degree in Letters: Language Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, both from Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (UFOP). He’s an editor and columnist at the literary magazine O Odisseu (https://oodisseu.com.br). He was also an editorial coordinator of the anthology Incandescências (2026), funded by Lei Paulo Gustavo, and has participated in the collective translation of The garden party and other stories (2024), by Katherine Mansfield, published by the Editora Cabriolé. He’s interested in modernisms, book history, translation and intermedia studies, being an enthusiast of the print culture and the graphic arts. His main research focuses on the British writer Virginia Woolf, specially her experience as an editor of the Hogarth Press, and her work’s translation, editing and reception into the Brazilian literary field. As his interest in Irish Studies grew in recent years, he took part in the organization of the International Yeats Society Conference 2024: Conjuring Yeats, and became a member of NEI in 2026.
