Thalyta Bianca Pinto Aguiar Argivaes is a PhD candidate in English: Linguistic and Literary Studies at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), funded by FAPESC. She holds an M.A. in the same field and institution, funded by CAPES, and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from UFSC. During her undergraduate studies, she was a CAPES scholarship holder in the Languages without Borders program (IsF), teaching languages to students and staff at UFSC. She has extensive experience in teaching English as an additional language, teaching students of different nationalities, proficiency levels (A1-C1), and ages, through face-to-face classes and using virtual platforms. She also has an interrupted degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Maranhão (UFMA), where she was a holder of the CNPq scholarship in Scientific Initiation and of the Science Without Borders program, studying one year of undergraduate studies at Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland. Currently, she is conducting research in the areas of Theatre Studies, Translation Studies and Audio Drama, as well as being a member of the Irish Studies Cluster (NEI) and the Radio Drama Lab (LabDrama) at UFSC.
